Going Green

Increasingly, community foundations and their youth councils are identifying environmental issues as an area where they can make an important difference, and are working to build their own capacity to provide support to organizations, donors and others in their communities who are also interested in this topic.

This section of the website is the place where YACs can share their experiences in environmental grantmaking and leadership. It's also a place to discuss ideas for action in their communities, and at regional, national and even international levels.

It also links to environment organizations that have information, programs, tools or resources that may be of interest to YACs.

If your YAC has made grants for environmental projects, has funds designated for environment organizations or activities, or has undertaken its own environmental projects, we hope you will share your stories here.
