Dr. Jane Goodall kicks off Saskatoon Youth for Action workshop

REMINDER!

On Thursday, September 13, 2007 Dr. Jane Goodall, world renowned primatologist, humanitarian and United Nations Messenger of Peace, will be at the University of Saskatchewan, kicking off a day-long community action workshop for local high school students.

At the workshop, run by the Jane Goodall Institute's (JGI) Roots & Shoots program, students will choose a current community issue to explore in-depth with local experts—choices include factory farming, urban sprawl and youth on the street. Then, participants will plan out action projects to take back and carry out in their communities to take on the issues.

Interested? There is still room! Contact Ellen Wardell at Roots_Shoots_SK@janegoodall.ca or (306) 220-1313. Registration is $10 for the day.

Roots & Shoots is a global network of youth working to create positive change. We provide training, resources and support for youth taking action. Visit www.janegoodall.ca for more information.
