Invitation to Michigan Youth Grantmakers Summer Leadership Conference
The Council of Michigan Foundations is once again hosting a Youth Grantmakers Summer Leadership Conference.
More than 200 youth grantmakers and their adult advisors from Michigan and around the nation will gather for this exciting three-day educational conference planned and facilitated by the Michigan Community Foundations' Youth Project (MCFYP) Committee. This is truly is a youth-run conference you don't want to miss!
The conference will be held at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI on
Friday, June 26 to Sunday, June 28. All youth grantmaking committees affiliated with a community foundation are invited to attend this conference. Registration costs are only $100/person for youth and adults and include meals, snacks, programming and housing for all three days.
The 2009 theme is
A Second Look: Seeing Challenges as Opportunities. Sessions and speakers will focus on how youth leaders can turn these difficult times into new opportunities through grantmaking and community service.
You can get more information and
register your group online here.
The registration deadline is Friday, June 5, but register early because there are only 50 spots for out-of-state attendees. CMF reserves the right to limit each group to 4 attendees if necessary in order to allow other YACs to attend.
If you have any questions about the conference or the registration process, please feel free to contact Mike Goorhouse at 616.850.2129 or

See you this summer!
